If you own a Lamy ballpoint pen Safari, Studio, AL-Star, CP1 or 2000 this is the refill upgrade most pen enthusiasts reach for first.
The Monteverde Soft Roll is a direct replacement for the Lamy M16 ballpoint refill. It fits any Lamy ballpoint pen that takes the standard M16 cartridge a drop-in swap with no modification required.
Why choose this over the Lamy original?
The Soft Roll uses low-viscosity ink in a nickel-plated brass tube with a Swiss-engineered tip. The result is a noticeably smoother, more fluid line than the standard Lamy M16 the kind of writing feel that makes a ballpoint behave closer to a rollerball. Many Lamy owners who try the Monteverde Soft Roll never go back to the original.
